The temperature of the working medium in the centrifugal pump has a great relationship with the leakage of the flange joint surface, the change of the temperature of the centrifugal pump bolt is relatively backward compared with the change of the temperature of the flange, mainly because the bolt is not in direct contact with the pipe, so when the pipe temperature drops rapidly, the bolt temperature can not be synchronously decreased. Therefore, there will be a temperature difference between the flange temperature and the bolt temperature, which will lead to different expansion of the two, and the tight force of the flange will disappear, and the liquid will leak out. Therefore, when the temperature of the working medium in the centrifugal pump changes too much, it will easily cause the liquid leakage phenomenon at the connection of the centrifugal pump flange.
Some centrifugal pump flange joint insulation is not very good, there is no possibility of adding insulation materials, which will also cause liquid leakage at the centrifugal pump flange connection, so the flange joint insulation work is very important, we must do a good job of insulation; There is also a reason that the material of the bolt used does not meet the requirements (or the wrong bolt material is used), which will also lead to the emergence of this phenomenon.
In addition, if the material of the metal tooth pad at the flange joint surface is unqualified, the position of the tooth pad is unsuitable, the bearing of the flange bolt is uneven, and the bolt is too tight when fastened, these reasons will cause the liquid leakage phenomenon at the flange joint of the centrifugal pump.
